Seeing what's in front of your nose demands a constant struggle.—George Orwell
Dear Friends + Interlocutors
Never were truer words spoken. Ironically, by mistake. Perhaps G.W. Bush can speak the truth only inadvertently. He and Dick Cheney certainly told a Niagara of lies, in an elaborate campaign of lies, to pave the way for the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq. Once on the ground, all sorts of documented atrocities took place. Don Rumsfeld shrugged his shoulders and smiled.
Recall that G.W. turned the White House over to his VP to run while he went to the gym and played at being POTUS. That is effectively what happened. It worked like clockwork until didn’t. G.W. remained loyal and stuck with his Regent for years. Then special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald ensnared Scooter Libby, Dick Cheney’s hatchet man.
At that point, on the advice of his dad, former President H.W. Bush, G.W. cut bait. He had little choice. Cheney took more of a back seat as G.W.’s second term hit the wall in Iraq and on Wall Street. Cheney implored G.W. to give Libby a full pardon, but G.W. for the first time said no to Cheney. But he did commute Libby's prison sentence.
Now Washington is in yet another contrived war, albeit a proxy war. A similar mindset prevails. And some of the same neocon and neoliberal fatheads who instigated the Iraq war are in the Papa Joe Administration.
The most prominent being Victoria Nuland a Cheney protégé who orchestrated the 2014 coup in Kiev under Saint Obama. She is now the 2nd highest official in the Biden State Department. Do you think all this happened by accident?
G.W. Bush and Dick Cheney plotted the war in Iraq. Papa Joe Biden and his gang have done the same for Ukraine. Both wars were the result of lies, duplicity and conspiracy inside Washington. It’s a long-time, bipartisan affair with many participants. No wonder G.W. made this revealing and accurate Freudian slip.
