Biden's last, last act as he goes out the door...

Friends + Interlocutors,
You might think the most important, interesting and significant thing that happened today was the inauguration of Donald Trump for a second term as POTUS. I disagree. The inauguration was mandated by law and a ceremony, a show. I did not watch it.
The more significant item today was Biden’s pardoning of his family, sometimes referred to as the Biden Crime Family. This was a pardon for illegalities for which no indictments and/or convictions are outstanding. These are blanket, retroactive pardons for anything illegal which members of the Biden family might have committed in days gone by. Identical to the open-ended plea deal which almost snuck through for Hunter Biden months ago.
To me, this is proof positive that Papa Joe was the figurehead leader of a long-standing influence pedaling scheme when he was VP and Senator. Papa Joe has had no job his entire life but on Capitol Hill and as VP for Prez Obama. In the latter capacity, Obama put him in charge of the Ukraine dossier.
That was a huge mistake. Thanks to Obama, Joe Biden had total control. He dictated internal Ukraine policy as well as its foreign policy. At the time, Biden was in full command of his faculties. Hunter was in on the action.
Why give a pardon if no wrongdoing was done? Did Joe Biden expect Trump to harass his family for the hell of it? You can’t do that if there is nothing there to begin with. I don’t think Biden's retroactive pardon precludes Congressional committees from looking into the whole matter and exposing what happened. On the other hand, maybe influence pedaling on Capitol Hill is accepted as normal, not a big deal and not corruption.
Papa Joe is too far gone to be indicted, so he did not issue a pardon for himself. But the fact that he did so for his brother, etc. within the last few minutes of leaving the White House speaks volumes.
I doubt that the pardons prevents the IRS from looking into the matter of unpaid taxes from illegal activities and demanding those taxes. Or does it?
Patrick
